The main results in Europe: Real Madrid 4-1 Mallorca (Liga), Atalanta 1-1 Cremonese, Juventus Turin – (20h45) Salernitana (Serie A).

1. Real has resource.

Even without Benzema, injured, Real Madrid overthrew Mallorca (4-1) in La Liga. After the opening goal of Muriqi (35th), Valverde (45th+3rd) revived his team just before the break. And in the second half, Vinicius (73rd), Rodrygo (89th) and Rüdiger (90+3rd) finally allowed the Merengue to win the game. With a perfect record, Real logically occupies the first place in the ranking with 2 points ahead of its runner-up, FC Barcelona.

2. The crazy goal of Valverde.

What an action from Valverde! Against Mallorca (4-1) in La Liga, the Uruguayan international revived his team just before the break by scoring a simply superb goal. Served in his camp, the Madrilenian made a 60 meters run with the ball before releasing, at the entrance of the surface, a powerful shot to find the top corner. A real jewel!

3. Lorient, the summer hit continues!

Surprise team of this beginning of season, Lorient confirmed against FC Nantes (3-2) in Ligue 1. Despite the opening goal of Ganago (13th), the Merlus quickly reacted on a free kick of Ouattara (19th). And after the break, FCL won with goals from Cathline (60th) and Koné (74th). Simon (85th) revived, in vain, the suspense. With this success, Lorient is provisionally in 4th place in the ranking, while Nantes disappoints in 16th place.

4. A return of Delort buried Ajaccio.

In a decidedly complicated start to the season, AC Ajaccio was beaten at home by OGC Nice (0-1) in Ligue 1. Despite an engaged and globally balanced match, the Corsican club, unable to win this season, finally cracked on a nice return of Delort (66th). In the standings, Gym has climbed to 12th place, while ACA, 20th with 1 point, is worried.

5. Angers finally wins.

In great difficulty since the beginning of the season, Angers finally won against Montpellier (2-1) in Ligue 1. However, MHSC had ideally launched this match thanks to Nordin (7th). But quickly revived by Hunou (9th), the SCO won on a penalty converted by Boufal (69th, sp). Still 19th in the standings, will Angers launch its year?

6. Toulouse is back on track.

In the last weeks, Toulouse found the way to victory against Reims (1-0). The Violets found the breakthrough through Aboukhlal (31st). Well helped by the expulsion of Flips (61st) in the second half, TFC is back to the 11th place of the ranking.

7. Atalanta frustrated…

Atalanta Bergamo missed the opportunity to regain the first place by being held by Cremonese (1-1) in Serie A. Despite Demiral’s opening goal (74th) in the second half, the Dea conceded the equalizer in the following period by Valeri (79th). With this draw, Atalanta has to be satisfied with the 2nd position, tied with the leader Napoli, but also with AC Milan, 3rd.

8. Strasbourg can’t win.
In spite of big chances, Strasbourg was hung up by Clermont (0-0) in Ligue 1. In spite of an outrageous domination in the game, the Alsatians were cruelly lacking in efficiency with two attempts on the bar. In the standings, this draw does not help RCSA, 17th, while the club from Auvergne is in 7th place. To read the complete analysis of the game,

9. The new look of Kombouaré.
Some wear the cap, Kombouaré opted for glasses! Even if the summer is coming to an end, the coach of FC Nantes made a strong impression by showing up in a suit and black glasses on the sunny field of Lorient (2-3) in Ligue 1. A look that has amused the social networks.
